About Me
I am the awkward silence in your conversation, the early arriver to your gathering, I am the interrupter in your news and the sound you make when something is funny. I can live a life solely reciting movie and song quotes. I can spend every Monday at Moe’s. I speak mainly of my six obsessions—Abraham Lincoln, the Holocaust, Shark Week, Germany, dinosaurs and the 1920s. I bake. I teach. I am a vegetarian. I feel nauseous if I am waiting for things and want to vomit at the idea of tomatoes, watermelon, mayonnaise, urine, the color orange, Winnie the Pooh, typos, country music, Carlos Mencia, bad grammar, people who use letters in place of words and alternate their text in a variety of uppercase and lowercase letters. I pee at least once an hour. I wear sweaters all year round regardless of temperature. I have the worst luck in the world—Murphy’s law was created with me in mind. I add “till I die" or "hip! hip!" to about half of the things I say. I don’t drink or smoke. I visit the Post Secret website weekly. I love the letter e. I have about two pairs of jeans that are in constant rotation. I always threaten with a rap battle. Marry me.
I'm a big fan of old time things like chivalry, ascots, pictures of people circa 1800, old people holding hands-- ya know, stuff you don't see too much anymore. I've always wished I knew how to ballroom dance and I am trying to learn German and Sign Language (ASL). I'm usually always "a day late and a dollar short". I sometimes snort when I laugh. I daydream constantly. I live by the beach but I never go-- ever. My favorite time of day is dusk. I'm a big giver and taker of sarcasm. I LOVE Diet Dr. Pepper. The only thing I like better than asking questions is answering them.
