T.E.V will release his mini-album titled 'The MixxyTape', featuring his new single "Mixxy", in November and has been confirmed for a another televised performance on B.E.T 106 & Park's "Teen Hip Hop" showcase on December 16th.
T.E.V [The Educated Voice], of Brooklyn NY, is a 17 year old Hip Hop artist, clothing designer, and founder of a local fashion and music collective of teens known as the 'Creative Boys Culture (CBC)'
In the summer of 2008, Tevonne "T.E.V" Hemmans officially released two singles digitally. Both songs "Coming Back", and "Slide N Pick It Up" help developed a serious buzz throughout his High School and pushed his popularity and influence within his neighborhood to a new high.
Refusing to be a one dimensional artist, TEV's creative nature led him to start remixing tracks by various Pop/Rock and Electro artists and sharing those remixes online with his friends. One of those tracks, 'Solo Impala' by The Fashion has since become one his most popular remix songs on Myspace.
Always the ultimate entrepreneur, TEV hit the streets of his neighborhood, Soho, Dumbo, and Williamsburg with his CBC crew to sell his custom shirts and remix cds from out his backpack.
On one such day in Soho, it was this grind that led him to meet a B.E.T Networks exec who was so impressed with TEV's sales pitch, he not only purchased a shirt for his son, he gave him a slot on B.E.T Rap City's 'Spit Ya Game' segment.
After a over a year of countless remixes and performances his musical growth continues. Not concerned with those chasing trends and trying to fit in, TEV is busy creating his own legend.
