Miss Laidlaw is a woman on a mission. An aspiring music entrepreneur, ranging from Producer, Record Label Executive, Radio Host and founder of the motivational website Female Beatmakers.
Inspired from music from the 70s and 80s Miss Laidlaw's sound has been described as down tempo, groovy and original for its time. Her main motivation to make music was encouraged by both her parents who saw she had an ear for music.
What is impressive about this lady is the fact that despite no releases or shows, she has already acquired a fan base from around the world, ranging from music lovers to celebrities. Though the wait is over and her album has been confirmed to be released this year through her own Record Label, Groove Erotic. Her single ‘Inspirational Level 1 ‘is due to available through download on I Tunes and Amazon on the 2nd May 2009
Miss Laidlaw is also the founder of the exclusive development website Female Beatmakers. A website aimed at motivating and inspiring other talented females in the music industry. Currently she is working on organising workshops around London, to offer cheaper alternatives for people wishing to study music.
You can also catch her every Monday and Friday on Playvybz.com between the hours of 4 to 6pm GMT, where she spins an eclectic mix of rare groove, jazz, neo soul, funk, disco, hip hop, 80s soul and pop with a soulful mix of broken beat and house.
