It's hard to believe that just three years ago, Justin Martin & Sammy D's oddball stomper "Southern Draw" was released as DB001. Three years and 16 releases later, the label that Claude VonStroke built celebrates its birthday in grand style - on Mighty's newly revitalized soundsystem.
The record that's been over a year in the making finally is hitting stores near you. For those not lucky enough to snag the defective clear vinyl before its recall (it's going for $50+ on discogs), here is the lush and cinematic Chaim remix that graces the doomed first pressing's b-side.

As a member of the dirtybird family, DJ Worthy already has a solid foundation on which to build a shimmery, elastic sound. Expanding on this base, he's gone on to release tracks on the hot UK imprint Leftroom and LA's Utensil Records. In 2006, Worthy started his own label, Katabatic, which is itself is blowing up.
We talked to Worthy via email about his recent inclusion on Sven Vath's Sound of the Eighth Season, the success of his funny-named "Irst_Te?" single and "Hyphy House." We'll also give you a chance to download "Bassquake," his iconic track from his own label, Katabatic.

The relative silence of dirtybird can mean only one thing: they are impossibly busy.
All four main elements of the camp are involved in different projects soon to come, particularly the "Hyphy House" style they are protecting in their studio.
Most recently, they leaked the new single "Groundhog Day" from Christian Martin and Claude VonStroke. Rather than a digital tease, though, they dropped the 12" vinyl in only three locations: Juno (UK), Freebase (Frankfurt) and Tweekin (USA).
Only 500 are available as clear vinyl and each comes with an equally-limited remix from the hotly-tipped Chaim on the flip.
