Winter Gloves and You Say Party! We Say Die! are currently on a cross Canada tour together - and while on the road a battle of speed, intellect, and chance seems to have developed. To keep it interesting both bands are in a 'race' of sorts to see who can arrive at the next venue first! right now the score is 3-2 for Winter Gloves (technicalities aside).

After over 17,000 downloads of their song 'Let Me Drive' as iTunes' Single of the Week – the much anticipated full length album from Winter Gloves, 'about a girl', hits stores today!
Winter Gloves is Montreal's latest outfit catching the ears of music lovers and critics alike. The band's 'about a girl' LP is ten pop songs driven by dancing keyboards and drums, all wrapped up in a constant buzz of bass and gritty synths.
Before 'about a girl' was released, Winter Gloves was throwing out copies of their demo EP to lucky fans at their shows in between songs. Now that the full length is out, they still wanted to give something special to their fans, so to everyone outside of Canada who hasn't had a chance to check them out just yet here is the early version of their song Let Me Drive.

We've had a really busy week this week in the office with the anticipation of our upcoming fall releases...
infact 2 of them JUST came in from the production house - here's a sneak peak with more info about them next week AND free track downloads!!

Winter Gloves began life as Charles F's solo project in 2007 - just him having fun with a Wurlitzer, synths and drums. After posting tracks on MySpace Charles began to realize that this project had great potential following lots of positive feedback from an ever-swelling number of listeners. He quickly enlisted friends Louis Fernandez, Vincent Chalifour and Patrick Sayers and Winter Gloves were born.
Let Me Drive EP is the second offering from Winter Gloves and will be available on iTunes from next week. It's about seduction and urban lifestyle, recorded with only a single microphone in Montreal between a rehearsal studio across the Molson factory and Charles' tiny apartment. Charles and Vincent mixed the EP letting ambient noises tint each song in order to generate a pleasant dirty sound.
