In the wake of last years critically revered debut album for Warp, "O Soundtrack My Heart", Australia's post-glitch-wave heroes PIVOT return to Europe for a short run of dates around the first big Warp 20th anniversary celebration in Paris in May. They hit London on the 14th of May (Hoxton Bar Kitchen), via Germany, Benelux and even Eastern Europe. You can refresh your memory of their heavy live show with this video of the albums title track performed at a French festival last summer:
The band have recently been back in Australia working on their next album, as well as touring with the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Gary Numan.
Also last year the band supported Yellow Magic Orchestra at Massive Attack's Meltdown, and opened for Sigur Ros on their Australian tour.

Psych-jazz instrumentalists Artanker Convoy are playing some shows this week in New York City, beginning Saturday (September 13) at Cake Shop on Ludlow St. alongside San Francisco’s Tussle and again on Monday (September 15) at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg with A Place To Bury Strangers, Sian Alice Group and Amazing Baby. Expect lots of noodling, scorched ear drums, and maybe a rain dance or two. Our bros in the Convoy must have some similar tastes and friends that we do, as you can find tracks from every band they’re playing with this week alongside their own below. SYNERGY, dudes.
On October 16, two days after they release a self-titled album that's their first in two years, The Secret Machines will bring their skull-bombing psych circus to cities across the United States and Canada. A couple weeks ago we dropped an exclusive, non-album cut from the record's recording sessions, so nab that headtrip below and check if they're coming 'round your town after the click-through.
We rave enough about Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson here that you have probably already heard what his music sounds like (epic troubadourian rock 'n roll), but do you REALLY know the man behind the tunes? Cue journalism, as our bros at TheFADER.com present RCRD LBL Contributing Editor David Bevan's original four-part documentary of life on the road with MBAR. Culled from footage of five nights spent cooped up in the van with Miles and his band while they drove around the West devouring stages, fans, beers, smokes, jokes and Mexican food, the doc also includes rare acoustic and live performances you needn’t miss. Part 1 is up now (complete with epic cliffhanger line at the end) with the rest to follow each day. Happy viewing.
THE WILLOWZ are back and rollin with The Hives as well as Eagles of Death Metal quick tour stint. The Willowz released their 2007 album, "Chautauqua" with us and will begin a national tour starting from Texas. Their corky, ballsy, garage-band style, yet cohesive records, have distinguished them from other garage-punk groups. Their latest album titled got some props from highly-regarded critics like the Grammys. To say the least, fans should be anticipating some amazing performances this Fall. Read on for tour dates...
