Congorock Takes North America

This week the Fool’s Gold international DJ exchange program brings another new star to our shores, as the big beat frenzy of Italy’s Congorock comes to Toronto, Winnipeg, NYC and Los Angeles (the last one is a real doozy, a free show with our boys Rusko and AC Slater also on the bill). Peep all the party dates after the jump.

This mini-trek is meant to amp everyone up for the release of Congorock’s debut Fool’s Gold 12″ single “Runark,” a bleep-ed out club monster that comes backed with a massive remix by labelmates Jokers Of The Scene and two more originals, all wrapped up in psychomystical sleeve art by Dust La Rock. Vinyl is in production now, and you can get the digital version (with a bonus remix by His Majesty Andre) exclusively at Turntable Lab starting Feb 24th, with all other digi retailers to follow. “BIIIIIG CHOOOON” says us. “THANKS!” says y’all. You’re welcome.

Fool’s Gold Remixed Vinyl

Our promo-only Fool’s Gold Remixed 12″s finally arrived in the house house house. Four of the biggest tracks off our Scion A/V compilation from this past fall on one thick slab of vinyl: Chromeo’s funked up take on Treasure Fingers’ “Cross The Dancefloor,” Surkin’s choppy version of Nacho Lovers’ “Acid Life,” Rusko dropping dubstep bombs all over Kid Sister’s “Pro Nails,” and Jori Hulkonnen’s hypnotic, techy remix of Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite.”

This is a limited, one-time only pressing for friends, fam and assorted DJs, but we were able to get a few copies over to Turntable Lab, so cop it while you can!

Rusko Essential Mix

Our UK homie Rusko DJed the latest edition of BBC’s famed Essential Mix this past weekend, and you can grab the set and check the tracklisting over at Discobelle. Along with all manner of new and unreleased wubba wubba wubba dubstep goodies, there’s an exclusive “Rusko Big Trombone Mix” of Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite” and two Kid Sister tracks, including Rusko’s hit mix of “Pro Nails” from our Fool’s Gold Remixed compilation (buy it at TTL Digital).
