EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: The Invisible - Baby Doll

The Invisible formed back in 2006, a time when London’s musical mind seemed to have collapsed in on itself, struggling to decipher gestures of meaning from the cruddy soup of acts floating loosely in critical definitions of ‘nu-rave’. It shows – converging around a shared love of Prince, King Sunny Ade, Shuggie Otis and Radiohead, the trio hark back to root, their tracks furtively attempting to plant themselves in steadier ground. “Baby Doll” is one such track; pulling drug minds from post-millennial club muddle with lyrics keen to get existential crisis over and done with (“Do you remember how to be optimistic?/do you remember how to stand up for something?”). A ghost prompting reminiscence of a time before day-glo, “Baby Doll” will appear on a debut album forthcoming through Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Records.
