EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Dead Pixels - So You Say
![]()
Don't know what would inspire a name like "Dead Pixels," except a pissed-off musician-cum-graphic designer who dropped their digicam in the toliet. Or perhaps it's a nonsense name that goes along with the theme of Dead Pixels' first single, "Words Are Poison." Regardless, we don't really give a damn. This 5-piece's punked-out electro-rock is fresh yet seemingly verboten and dangerous......and hence skin-crawlingly addictive. While the band contains a mixed brew of Egyptian, French, Danish and UK origins, their music smells of East London's raw, street-smart garage rock. Imagine the scuzzy-guitar grit of The Cazals spliced with the temperamental tremors of Yeah Yeah Yeahs (thanks to the seductive, one-step-away-from-insanity tone of Danish lead singer Lone Blomhoj.)
