PREMIERE: Bright Archer - Hidden Systems

Trained in opera as a child, jazz in college, a current member of a number of bands around her hometown of Portland and finally taking her talents solo, Johanna Kunin has arrived breathy folk in tact. Bright Archer, her moniker when not performing in the likes of Loch Lomond and AgesandAges among others, puts her voice front and center amidst a swirl of keys, vibraphones and airy orchestral sounds. Inspired by 70s radio hits and an early love of naturalism, these influences find a home in Kunin's songs. "Hidden Systems" is from Bright Archer's second full length of the same name, out July 5 on Bear Island.
