DOWNLOAD: Young Lungs - Attack Of The Montana Red

Montreal rockers Young Lungs will self-release a new 7-inch, Blood On The Streets, on May 15. The effort, produced by Omar Hussain, offers a two-song glimpse at the group’s raucous post-punk sound. “Attack of the Montana Red,” the single’s B-side, is an explosive number, recalling groups like Gang Of Four. The track pulls together heavy rock and angular dance-rock, making you want to head bang and hit the club at the same time.
PREMIERE: Turing Machine - Slave To The Algorithm

It's a numbers game. That's what they say about life, at least – no more rhythm, all algorithm. Turing Machine waited eight years to build on their acclaimed 2004 release Zwei, and now the trio is back with What Is The Meaning Of What, which is set for a May 8 release on Temporary Residence. Here's a premiere of album track "Slave To The Algorithm" – a heavy, punky, club-ready punch to the gut with ear-splitting bass, ringing harmonies and the sort of organic drums that made you fall in love with DFA way back when. That association makes a lot of sense. LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney along with a slew of DFA mainstays appear across the record. Get psyched!

In (hungover yet) celebratory spirit, we bring you a new dance-punk track from Austin-based artists, Honey Claws. This remix of "Shout-Out" is by POSR, the new side project of underground house DJ, Jake Childs (who's got a slick track dedicated to Obama on his myspace right now). Childs brings out the punk inflection of this track- highlighting the scuzzy guitar licks and nails-on-chalk board screeches, while adding French House-esque lasers and whirling synths. Turn it up.
