This cynical send-up of getting older is really an angry young man’s lament at, well, being young. The age range in Natural Child’s "Yer Birthday" is 21—“no fun”—to 25—“rather die.” The song is off their debut album, 1971 (called such likely because the band is a dead ringer for Exile on Mainstreet-era Rolling Stones), which Infinity Cat is releasing, significantly, on 4/20. We’re told that these guys love the ganja. This song, a sizzling country rocker with a loopy slide guitar, sounds like it’s being played through a vaporizer.
