Remember Orouni? That dashing French who you boyfriended on Monday? Well this is his band, The Limes. At this point I feel that it's necessary to share with you a couple of sentences from their bio:
"The Limes are an inter-continental band consisting of Toy Fight, Orouni, Mina Tindle, John Hale and Brent Ballantyne. Started with the simple idea of sharing musical ideas between the Atlantic, members submit material to each other to interpret and record."
The collective expands on Orouni's twee folk charm, adding oompah marching band atmosphere, summery harmonies and inter-continental ENERGY. Elements of CocoRosie, Boy Least Likely To, Beach Boys, The Cranberries, The Modern Lovers, Peter, Bjorn, their friend John, Danny Elfman, Loney, Dear and all your other favorite bands. Get into it.

If they got church in hell, this is for sure what their choir sounds like. They got the soaring harmonies, the squealing organs, french horns and timpanis, the ooh ahh men's section and the acapella bum bums. But they also got the devil in them. Minor chords and major stomper choruses. Get that holy spirit power.

Dark Meat make psychedelic and psychotic look like synonyms. The 17-person Athens collective take the best elements of old voodoo Dr. John and Captain Beefheart and infuse it with so much flailing adrenaline that the whole thing threatens to complete fall apart at least once a verse. Tambourines seize out atop writhing sweat drenched arms with hairy pits alongside the old world fur hat horn section, tripped out and bleating. It's downright religious. Definitely, definitely see them live. And don't skip the mp3 either.
