DFA kids, nu-disco duo and inevitable future Brooklyn dance royalty Holy Ghost! is the kind of band we need more of in this world. They’re just so stoked to be here – you can see it in their faces when they gleefully slam on their keyboards live or when they show up as punching bags on talk shows – and you can hear it in their bubbly, mellifluous energy; the one that colors every vacation-ready track that they create. Here it is again, in their RCRD Collection, full of their friends and label fam, and without a sour note in sight. Shit Robot, The Juan Maclean, Chromeo, Midnight Magic, Twin Shadow and more coalesce into a synthy burst of candy rain – each heavy on the vocals and feather-light in spirit. Download, and like Holy Ghost!, never frown again.

Brooklyn’s Trouble And Bass is just five-years-old, and in that time the dark dance crew’s party-turned-label has managed to make it big by staying small. Their roster is short and familial, limited to major selectors who often double as interview pinch-hitters (trust, founding member Star Eyes could have a late-in-life career in network/goth newscasting), probably because they’re all really fun and loquacious and have great taste and gold teeth and sick senses of humor. Oh, and they legitimately love bass – evidenced by their RCRD Collection, which swings from heavy grime and dubstep to bassline and darkwave. Treat your earholes to their personal mix of nefarious beats from Drop The Lime, AC Slater, Deathface, Mikix The Cat and more.

A fresh batch of disco, bounce house and general feet-on-the-floor music abounds in our Plant Music-curated RCRD Collection, selected by none other than label founders Dominique Keegan and DJ Stretch Armstrong (whose hip-hop wand helped boost radio play for the likes of young Jay-Z and B.I.G.). What started as a 12-inch outfit, venue, and party promo collective in the late '90s has ballooned into a stellar label filled with some of the dudes we most want to party with: Tittsworth, The Glass and Eli Escobar. This collection is full of similar RCRD LBL goods, from the late, great DJ Mehdi to Holy Ghost!, Theophilus London, Bag Raiders, Midnight Magic and much more.
