DOWNLOAD: Little Death - Baby Can You Dig Your Man?

Look, with a band like England's Little Death, a band that make totally enjoyable guitar music for Friday nighters, there are really no bones to be made about reinventing the wheel or breaking a new sound. Their strengths are purely experiential, the enjoyable accompaniment to feeling reckless and energized. The three members of Little Death (English for "Le Petite Morte," French slang  for "orgasm") play their instruments well and fast and I dig that; the fact that they've thrown in a pretty catchy chorus to boot makes "Baby Can You Dig Your Man" even better. I went to see my friends in I Am The Avalanche come home from tour on Monday night in New York and it was the first time in awhile that I'd seen kids clamoring to scream along into the microphone. It kind of gave me hope, even though I knew I wasn't witnessing the future. There are still people that just like music because C, D, and G are three chords that sound really good together. There is something to be said for that, and this track reminded me of it.

Sounds like: Titus Andronicus, The So So Glos, The Thermals
