CHECK IT: Kate Nash
Kate Nash has been getting mixed reviews within the indie circles for her debut record Made of Bricks, but whatever, we're totally feeling her quasi-twee pop vibes and girlie-girl lyrics. It's like a cooler, more talented version of Lily Allen (for what that's worth...). Her breakout single "Foundations" will forever be the quintessential femme anthem of 2007, and our favorite track off the album, "Pumpkin Soup", almost sounds like a Motown song, if you can believe it.
