DOWNLOAD: Crocodiles - Neon Jesus

San Diego's Crocodiles are as dangerous and sneaky as their chosen power animal. The duo, featuring Brandon Welchez of spry rockers The Prayers and formerly of The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, make seductive and brittle garage rock with drum machines, their tempos just slow enough to lull you into jaws of clattering guitars and constant Farfisa whine. "I can't stand it," Welchez stammers during every chorus, in between talk of salvation and outcasts, and we wonder why, because we could totally stand to sit and listen to this song over and over again (like we have) and think about really drastic and apocalyptic stuff like that. If you're at all a fan of vintage sounds and crackly 45s, make sure to grab this.
