Loren's Saw It Live In 2010 Mix

These artists crossed my path as a photographer and were easily some of my favorite shows and tunes of 2010. This year brought us some great tracks, and that's why 2011 looks all the better!

The Americans are a New York City based sextet who are clearly obsessed with their parent's record collections. We are pretty sure you will know what we mean once you dig into this sweet tune. For more of The Americans, head to iTunes to grab their first EP, and click here to see footage of their upcoming Daniel Merriweather collab.

On Saturday we found ourselves at The Creators Project, presented by Vice and Intel, 12 hours of media overload, featuring performances from, M.I.A., Interpol, Sleigh Bells, Mark Ronson, and others, alongside flashy exhibits, films, and panels. Dranks were drunk, jams were heard and smiles abounded. Yes, we really did have that good a time! If you missed out, you can click below for photos and tracks from many of the artists who performed!

On Monday night we saw one of our favorite bands, LCD Soundsystem, play a sold-out gig at Webster Hall with opener Fall On Your Sword. The kids danced hard, everyone knew every lyric, and it was certainly a show I'll never forget. LCD hits Coachella this weekend kicking-off a slew of tour dates, so break out your planners and celebrate the upcoming release of This Is Happening, out May 18 through DFA/Virgin.

If you missed this gig it's alright, they're playing more shows together in the coming weeks. Click over to Florence and The Machine's MySpace for info.
