Bio: ZZK Records is a homegrown, artists' collective launched recently out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. ZZK Records evolved from Zizek Club, the weekly party in ... (more) Palermo, capital of South American hip, where visiting artists and resident deejays attract consistent crowds of global, street music fans. At Zizek, cumbia gets thrown in a sonic blender with minimal electronica, dancehall, reggaeton, dub, mashups, and and original beats.

ZZK Records artists and Zizek Club are enjoying international attention after a SXSW appearance and follow up tour of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico that included a month of consecutive raucous parties. The also completed a month long tour in Europe which saw them play the festival (Oslo World Music & Zaragoza Latina), big club (Nitsa BCN & Scala BLN) and underground circuit (Secousse LDN & Worm RDM) as well. Buenos Aires has grown ZZK Records into a full-fledged outlet of mayhem. From long nights of party heat in the capital of South American culture, Zizek brings a blend of old and new, rural and urban, where the first and third worlds share the dancefloor and make plans to hook up after the party. It was too good to stay local only way down south of the border and now Zizek is on the prowl, on tour, on your computer, and in your radar.

Zizek brings deejays, live musicians, and dance to each night of digital cumbia prowess. With recent releases that send cumbia into minimal electronica, dancehall, reggaeton and dub territory, ZZK Records is headed back on its North American Tour for continued growth spurts with global fans.
