  • Bio: This new We Are Standard release coincides with the band still immersed on a tour of their second album published in Spain at the end of 2008 and in the UK in mid-2010. During this time they have consolidated themselves as a great live band, festive spirit and a guarantee of fun and dance. This is why, “The Golden League” is a perfect complement to “We Are Standard”, a natural evolution, with collaborations from some of the most exciting artists out there.
    1 – Don’t Give Up – John Talabot’s Slowing It Down Remix
A revelation these past few months, he’s become one of the most sort after artists in the international scene. His remix, which announced the album in June, has already appeared in international media such as Pitchfork (“Listen closely, because the devil’s in the details with this one”).
2 – Bye Bye Bye – In Flagranti remix
Since the beginning of Codek Records, the New Yorkers Alex and Sasha have explored every possibility in art/graphic design/music to create a visual identity that combines glamour and punk attitude with unique aesthetics. Giorgio Moroder, Liquid Liquid, A Certain Ratio: In Flagranti is a erotic-festive collage of all these and much more.
3 – Don’t Let The Children Play Around – Anoraak remix
The producer and multi-instrumentalist Frédéric Rivière has turned his disco “Wherever The Sun Sets” into an anthem of French dance-pop. His mix of italo disco, Motown funk and pop have merited comparisons with M83. Mika included his remix of “Blame It On The Girls” on his single.
    4 – The Last Time – Cazals
French label Kitsuné, a reference in what is cool electronic music (Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, Crystal Castles…) made an exception in signing a guitar band like Cazals. They published their album “What Of Our Future”, and at the end of 2009 they split up. This remix was one of their last works.
5 – Other Lips Other Kisses – CFCF remix
Less than a year ago, this DJ and producer from Montreal published his debut album. However, Michael Silver is known, above all, for his remixes of Health, Justice and Crystal Castles.
6 – The First Girl Who Got A Kiss – The Requesters remix
The Requesters are Sidechains and D.A.R.Y.L, residents at the prestigious The Loft (Barcelona) and key names of the Barcelona dance scene. Together their influences vary from pop, to 80s cultures and from electro to house
    7 – The Present – David E Sugar remix
One of the biggest talents of the British Underground scene, David E. Sugar has just signed to Rob Da Bank’s label, where his new album will appear this Autumn. He’s also published on Joe Goddard’s (Hot Chip) label Greco-Roman and on Kitsune.
8 – The Last Time – Arthur Baker remix
This edited remix appeared on the B Side of the vinyl maxi single of “The Last Time”, which was published at the same time as the LP. Arthur Baker’s version, he’s also worked with Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper or New Order, was chosen for the first video of the album.
    9 – Easy – Night Vision remix
Excessive, irreverent, unpredictable…. That’s Night Vision, a quintet formed in Bilbao in 2010 with a clear vocation for pop music and a dance background in their songs. (less)
