Bio: Fresh after the dancefloor beast that is Neurotic Drum Band's "Robotic Hypnotic Adventure", comes one-half of the duo, Ulysses, with his solo debut for Wurst. The title cut is a deadly disco bomb, chock full of ecstatic strings and euphoric arpeggios, while the flip, "Fun and Games" sees the man channel his techno roots for a melodic, dare we say sexy endeavor. Both cuts are perfect for those debaucherous late-night moments.. Ulysses (née Elliot Taub) is on fire at the moment, with a forthcoming single on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label, and collaborative work with partner Holmar Filipsson on Bearfunk and Tirk sister label Nang. No stranger to dance music, Ulysses was a key player in New York’s burgeoning electro resurgence a decade ago, and has since DJ’ed the world and back supporting a bevy of output on such labels as Tommy Boy, Plant, MBF, and Guidance, amongst many other labels.
DJ support for Wurst has come from such dance music luminaries as Carl Craig, Erol Alkan, 2 Many DJs/Soulwax, James Murphy (LCD/DFA), Harvey, Optimo, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Rub N Tug, Todd Terje, Joakim, Holy Ghost!, Brennan Green, Pilooski, HThe Revenge, orse Meat Disco, Unabombers, Luke Solomon, The Glimmers, Ewan Pearson, Tim Sweeney, Chris Duckenfield, Munk, Still Going, Pete Herbert, Beppe Loda, I:Cube, Padded Cell, Kaos, Gilb’r, Darshan Jesrani, Runaway, Lee Douglas, Jackpot, In Flagranti, Tim “Love” Lee, Social Disco Club, Alex from Tokyo, Permanent Vacation, Nick Chacona, Mock & Toof, Citizen Kane, Lexx, DJ Spun (Rong), Cosmo Vitelli, Baby G (LSB), and Prince Language (Editions Disco).
