- Bio: Travis Barker first hit the music scene as the drummer for the rock band trio, Blink 182. Since then, he has become an icon in the drummer world and has been a part of many projects, such as the drummer for the rock band, The Transplants, and the drummer for the duo TRVSDJAM. Currently, he is producing tracks and releasing his first solo album.
This fall, Travis will release his highly anticipated solo record, ‘Give The Drummer Some’ through Interscope. Not only did he produce the entire album, but he plays on every track, with appearances by RZA, RAEKWON, Tom Morello, T.I., Lil Wayne, Tim Armstrong, A-Trak, The Game, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Beanie Sigel, Bun B, Cory Taylor, Pharrell, Swizz Beats and many more. His first single off the album is ‘Carry It’ featuring RZA, Raekwon and Tom Morello
In addition to making his own album, Travis also produced records for Paul Wall’s new album, Tran$plants. This album consists of multiple remixes, which have seen millions of hits on line – his most famous remix being “Crank That” by Soulja Boy. Travis has also had the opportunity of playing the drums live in 2010 with Mary J Blige, Lil Wayne, Snoop, Jamie Foxx, Eminem and TI at various awards shows.
Currently, Travis is collaborating with world class DJ / producer A-TRAK. This partnership was first introduced in March 2010 at the legendary ROXY on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. They performed together live at the 2010 Electric Daisy Land, which is one of the biggest music festivals in the United States.
Before teaming up with A-TRAK, Travis and the late DJ AM worked together to create, TRVSDJAM. Their unique sound of the drum set and turntables put them on the front of the music scene. They performed together at the KROQ Inland Invasion in 2006 and they served as the house band at the 2008 MTV VMAs, where they played with Katy Perry, LL Cool J, Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi. They were also the headlining performance in 2009 at both Coachella and the KROQ Weenie Roast. (less)
