Bio: Formed in the early 1990s and with a string of celebrated albums under their belts, the legendary UK band Tindersticks re-grouped in 2007 to record ... (more) their first new album in five years. Founding members Stuart Staples, David Boulter and Neil Fraser (pictured above) were joined by a cast of supporting musicians to make The Hungry Saw, which was released in Europe in April 2008 and by Constellation in North America in September 2008. The new record has been met with near-unanimous critical acclaim and the band's live performances in Europe over the last nine months have been equally celebrated for their exquisite arrangements, literate songcraft and complex, nuanced emotion. Tindersticks are a truly special and unique group with a tremendous body of work and a superlative set of new tunes. They will be touring North America as a 7-piece, with the original members covering lead vocals, guitars and keyboards, supported by the new rhythm section of Dan McKinna (bass) and Thomas Belhom (drums), longtime collaborator (and ex-Gallon Drunk member) Terry Edwards on brass, and Andrew Nice on cello.
