Bio: Featuring stomp-clap beats, mesmerizing layers of guitar rhythm and deep sandpaper vocals, The Static Jacks cast off the computer-based trends of modern music makers. Their stripped-down sound resonates influences ranging from 1980s punk to current indie pop music. Raw, honest lyrics and a youthful energy result in a vibrant live sound that is not to be missed. This fresh-faced quintet from New Jersey has been working with Ra Ra Riot's live sound engineer, Andrew Maury, on a brand new EP entitled Laces, dropping September 15, 2009.
