Bio: The Notwist announce new single ‘Come In’ for release on December 14, backed by a rare remix outing by Grizzly Bear of ‘Boneless’. This is in conjunction with a very special one off UK date, an Arctic Circle & The Line of Best Fit promoted show with The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra at Union Chapel on 12 December. It should prove to be a unique live collaboration, with the cult Bavarians playing with a full 20-piece orchestra. London is the final destination for this enveloping show that has already been unveiled to a rapturous reception in Hamburg, Amsterdam, Munich and Cologne.
The Notwist’s inspired and rich back catalogue will be powerfully elaborated upon to form extremely complex and rewarding new arrangements. The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra create music in a galaxy all of their own, taking in such touchstones as Raymond Scott, Sun Ra and specialising in a bizarre avant-interpretation of modern jazz. The band worked with the Andromeda’s for the critically praised album The Devil, You + Me released on City Slang last year. The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra also released their debut album Take Off on The Notwist's respected imprint, Alien Transistor. Over the last two years the Munich based documentary filmmaker Jörg Adolph, filmed the unification of these two ensembles at close quarters. The resultant DVD "Music, No Music" will be available in time for this December date.
