- Bio: shady bard are a miniature indie orchestra with a lineup of strings, brass and casiotones alongside pianos, guitars, samples and percussion. They've drawn comparisons to Mercury Rev, Godspeed, British Sea Power, Low and Super Furry Animals.
Last year they released their debut album, From The Ground Up, to great reviews from the likes of Drowned in Sound, The Word, The Sunday Times, Q and Uncut, as well as radio plays from Steve Lamacq, 6music and XFM. They've built a cult following based on a series of limited handcrafted eps which surface on ebay for over £100 each. Their songs have been used by the BBC and MTV, who selected Treeology to soundtrack their global climate change campaign.
They've played Green Man and Supersonic Festival and supported iLiKETRAiNS on tour in September. Their own album tour in October included a sold out homecoming in the newly reopened Birmingham Town Hall.
Working with Reverb Music Publishing, the band are currently recording songs for their second full-length record.
