Bio: Railcars is the experimental pop/art rock project of Aria Jalali, originally from Los Angeles and currently based in San Francisco. Jalali created railcars, in April ... (more) 2008 when offered a string of shows with Handsome Furs (Sub‐Pop). Aria Jalali uses drum boxes, DIY synthesizers, and noise pedals with sentiments recreated in lyrical form to bring to life his most vivid, reoccurring dreams. In summer of 2008, Jalali recorded the EP “Cities Vs. Submarines” with Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu on his kitchen floor. Railcars have been touring in Europe with bands like Crystal Antlers, Collapse, with wild live performances featuring experimental electronics and live projected visuals. (less)
