Bio: Nacional are a Glasgow based unit formed in November 2006, hailing from Broxburn, Leeds, Manchester, Aberdeen and Glasgow. We play regularly in flats, kebab houses and on aeroplanes. Having grown arms and legs we can also venture around so please do pick up that telephone... This year's achievements include playing the Late n Live stage at Glastonbury Festival, a T.V apperance alongside Moby on Channel M, supporting Pivot (Warp Records) at Nice N Sleazies and both Twisted Wheel (Columbia) & Detroit Social Club at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. Nacional also won the Magnus Magnusson Award from Glasgow Caledonian University and in the coming months we will be featured on The Art Rocker compilation 'Sweet FA', the Italian Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as the Art Goes Pop compilation to be featured on BBC Radio 1.
Nacional have been confirmed to showcase at the 2009 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas which will coincide with their next single release 'On T.V' Debut single on Art Goes Pop Records is the magnificent double A side Telephone/Yorkshire (less)
