- Bio: It’s been a crazy few months for the 23-year old Welsh/Greek Marina Diamond. After releasing her debut single ‘Obsessions’ and ‘The Crown Jewels EP’ through upstart NY indie label Neon Gold Records earlier this year, Marina And The Diamonds is pleased to release her debut single with 679 this November.
Originally included on the ‘Obsessions’ single release, Mowgli’s has been re-worked for this release with production credits from Liam Howe. Mowgli’s Road has been remixed by a whole host of acts/DJs including Mille, Phenomenal Handclap Band, and Russ Chimes. Multi-membered pop sensation Gaggle have also recorded their own cover.
Fresh from finishing the NME Radar Tour 2009 with Golden Silvers, Local Natives and Yes Giantess, she plays a handful of dates before the end of the year, including Les In Rocks, the first NME Radar show at The Garage, the Jo Whiley curate Little Noise Sessions and a Levi’s Ones To Watch show.
Marina’s debut album is slated for release in early 2010, rumoured to be name ‘The Family Jewels’.
