- Bio: Takin’ time off from the Knaughty Knights, Rich Crook (ex-Reatards/Lost Sounds) moved back to his hometown of Natchez,Ms. over the summer of 2006. Spending time in a lonely, old house and working days in an overgrown machine yard he decided to take a job on an offshore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. What came out of this summer experience was the inspiration behind his first full length on eMpTy records(r.i.p.). Documenting run-ins with friendly animal poachers, in the closet crane operators, and pure blood lust for the men who had kept him down while being there. Time had come for Rich to say farewell to that long, lost region and for him to get back where he belonged,Memphis! Not long after his return Rich got busy writing and recording songs for his next full length record called,"Gathered In The Graveyard" for Karhlsruhe, Germany label, Red Lounge Records. Mixed and mastered by Jay Reatard in the summer of 2007 Rich put a band together and toured Europe celebrating both full length releases. In the wake of return from Europe, Lover! has put out two seven inch singles for !EKK! records out of Spain and Solid Sex Lovie doll records out of Italy. Focusing now on getting promised releases out for HoZac, Tic Tac Totally, FDH, Ptrash, and another full length out by the end of the year on Red Lounge Records, Lover! also wants to tour as much as possible. With members of the Black and Whites backin him up on his upcoming West coast tour of America the results could be quite magical!!!!!! Enjoy! (less)
