Having studied electronic music through participant observation for the past decade, he is held in high regard as a DJ, producer, and proprietor of Blank Artists – a label that prides itself on its distinct nature that sets it apart from other electronic music labels. While Josh spent his formative years some 90 rural miles (145 km) from his adoptive home of Detroit, his move to the city provided new opportunities which culminated in his short tenure in the offices of Underground Resistance and Submerge Distribution.
