Bio: The setting is an old apartment in Copenhagen. Anders Rhedin is sitting by his desk. The room is small and the white walls are covered ... (more) with clippings from books and newspapers, pictures and quotes. The shelves on the back wall are filled with piles of randomly arranged books, some long forgotten guitar pedals and various undefined electronics. Next to the shelves, there is a large frame drum and a Moorish tambourine. Centered in the room, is a white piano, decorated with paper mache flowers and, what seems to be, a dried up branch. The mood is serene. Anders is sitting quietly in front of his computer and two speakers, overlooking rooftops and the sharp angles of the local church spire. The light is pale blue, as the day turns to evening. Here, he has been sitting a lot, during the last year. From this room, he has been working on his debut album "Bright White Light". It is implied that he has been thinking of confetti, dark clouds, The Trans-Siberian Plains and explosions, while making the album. His record label claims that the music sounds like "late Eighties indie-rock with tribal drums, Scandinavian toy instruments and a lot of melodic flair". Apparently, Anders has been very intrigued by world music, in the past few years. He has probably always had that melodic indie flair. He turns to the piano, to start a new song. (less)
