- Bio: London synth-punk duo Gold Blood push a frenetic, galvanised and simultaneously ornate noise: with influences ranging from the Screamers, Yazoo, Black Flag to John Carpenter, that’s unsurprising. After just one release (the Twilight Language EP), Gold Blood have won widespread praise from the likes of La Roux, Neil Landstrumm, Dazed and Confused, Time Out, Vice, FACT and countless blogs. Forming a key piece in a new jigsaw puzzle, Gold Blood are centre stage in a scene centred around disco, italo, electronic body music, synth pop and real electro. Key players include underground clubs World Unknown, Body Hammer and Road To Rimini, DJ/producers like Brassica, Ali Renault (half of Heartbreak), Peter Mangalore, Andy Blake, Hungry Ghost and Cage & Aviary, plus the Human Shield imprint. Despite their many suitors, it looks as if Gold Blood are still playing the field as far as committing to a label is concerned.
