- Bio: “Offline Dexterity” b/w “Streetlight Chronicle” is the eagerly awaited debut single from Disclosure, out on Moshi Moshi singles club on the 6th September. Disclosure is comprised of two brothers, Guy and Howard Lawrence, aged 16 and 19 who write, record and produce all of their material, from a studio based just south of London.
Having been born into a musical family, with their father once signed to CBS records and their mother an enormously talented professional singer, the boys have been performing on stage from a very young age. It was only in 2010, through a chance encounter that they managed to get into the studio to record and work on the songs they'd co-written over many years. It was during this time that the sound of Disclosure was born.
Sonically their main influences stem from their Croydon locale, as they effortlessly combine the 2-step rhythms of garage and basslines of dubstep with their own rich musical heritage including soul, jazz and 90's hip hop. Their music is set to erupt on dancefloors across the globe.
After a prestigious feature on Pitchfork, the boys signed their first single to Moshi Moshi, the launch pad of Friendly Fires, The Very Best, Hot Chip and many more. This is the first taste of the wealth of talent and potential these obscenely talented young musicians possess; a clear statement of intent from these future dance luminaries. (less)
