Demander is a three-piece irregular rock band.
Sivan and Dave met behind the snack bar at Villa Park High School in 1994. Karen and Sivan met in a band in 2001 that led them to another band in 2003 that led them to start of Demander in 2004. Dave and Karen met in New York many years after the previous two events, somewhere near 2008. Together they make bright sexy-time adventure pop for jogging, dancing, drinking or making out. Now they are all making a record. It's called Future Brite.
Demander has toured the US, UK and Europe extensively. Some past tour-mates have included The Hold Steady, Art Brut and New Model Army. Demander has also supported Heartless Bastards, World/Inferno Friendship Society and Mindless Self Indulgence.
In October 2007, Demander did a week east coast jaunt supporting The Hold Steady and Art Brut. They then spent all of November and a bit of December touring Europe and the UK supporting New Model Army.
