The band will be preceding this release by supporting indie rockers I Was A Cub Scout on their entire June tour.
The four piece have been causing trouble for the last 18 months, plying sun blessed pop melodies with intricate indie geek fretwork. Combining a love of hardcore punk rock and classic bar tunes, Data Select Party formed after singer Dan left his previous band.
"The guitarist of Dan's band was fucking his girlfriend so he and the drummer started a new project and James practised next door on the farm," says Hugo Edwards.
Things were going great so we dropped everything and moved to London, in search of gold paved streets and musical nirvana only to find a bunch of neon dickheads wearing shit sunglasses. We were gutted," he added. (less)
