to avoid legal action from another band with the similar name The Shaky Hands from Portland, Oregon. The band was interviewed about the name change on New Zealand's national television channel TV3.
The band has had a lot of recent success. Releasing an EP in New Zealand and Australia named Shaky Hands in July 2006 through Speak n Spell Records. They have played the popular international concert The Big Day Out in 2006, Australia's St Jerome's Laneway Festival and havealso toured on their own and as support with a number of visiting internationals including Love Is All, We Are Scientists, Ratatat, Bloc Party and locals the Datsuns and Shihad.
