  • Bio: Copy Haho are a band from a town in Scotland called Stonehaven. No complaints about small town life - it’s nice, you should visit. The town boasts an impressive castle, and is the birthplace of the founder of the BBC, the inventor of the pneumatic tyre and fountain pen. It’s also the home of the deep-friend Mars bar (no, they’re not good, and no, the band don’t eat them regularly). The band – Joe, Rikki, Stuart and Richard – are friends from school who like to make guitar based pop music. Justified references have been made to seminal American indie rock, as well as comparisons closer to home – drawing similarities to the Chemikal Underground heyday, for instance.

After two acclaimed limited 7” singles (‘Bookshelf’ and last year’s ‘You Are My Coal Mine’ – both championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Vic Galloway, among others), the band released their first EP, ‘Bred for Skills and Magic,’ on Oxford label Big Scary Monsters in March. This was a great moment for the band, as it was a release that didn’t result in their parents asking “do people still buy those?” It came out on CD!

Having toured with the likes of Dananananaykroyd and Hot Club de Paris in the past year, as well as playing dates with Sebadoh, Los Campesinos! and Dirty Projectors, the band are set to play a lot more shows in the coming year. with a tour in May, supporting Johnny Foreigner, in addition to a string of festival dates already in the pipeline.
