Having built his reputation with a series of stunning remixes and stand-out EPs, the last being the much-blogged ‘So Many Nights’ release, BURNS has emerged as one of the UK’s most interesting new electronic artists, with an impressive array of support ranging from Aeroplane, A Trak and Annie Mac to Pete Tong, Calvin Harris, Soulwax, the Ed Banger crew and beyond.
BURNS has also produced tracks on KELIS’ new album and his new collaboration with Fred Falke ‘You Stopped Loving Me” looks set to soundtrack Ibiza this summer. His remix CV includes the likes of The Gossip, Empire Of The Sun, Ladyhawke, Wolfmother, Calvin Harris, Passion Pit, Kasabian, Dizzee Rascal, and many more.
The son of a pro-heavyweight boxer and a watercolour artist, this album represents the duality at the centre of BURNS’ identity. The first disc is what you’ll hear from BURNS in a club, an energetic club mix of Armand Van Helden, Surkin, The Gossip, Boys Noize, Zombie Nation, Mr Blink, Remute, and more. The second disc points to his own musical future with a mixtape style blend of disco, italo, house and electro featuring Lykke Li, Yelle, Breakbot, Le Le, Kano, Vitalic, Laid Back, and Empire Of The Sun.
With recent tours of the US, UK, and Australia, under his belt, BURNS is currently in the studio working on his debut artist album, with future dates at Glastonbury, Space Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks, Oxegen, Together, the Big Chill, and many more. (less)
