(more) triggers memories all radiating fun and goodness!? A radioactive fun ensemble that creates blissful reverberation in our minds leading us on crazy imaginative wondrous journeys, far, far away? How refreshing to imagine, not only imagine but to imagine it all over again! More to the point, how refreshing is it that an ensemble so unique creates such reverberation that we all can venture on those crazy wondrous imaginative mind trips all over again. BMX radiates this sense of ‘fuck it’ fun ness and creates music that predicates to us all to mislay our sense of ‘reality’ and lose ourselves in that moment as if we all were kids again. Meet BMX, a newly acclaimed Australian electronic pop band from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Formed in 2008 as an extension of production duo Dominiqe Bird (Synth/Keys) and Jad Lee (Vocals/Percussion/Synth) as Moods, the pair warmly welcomed Temma Lee on board as Lead vocal and Dane Wilson on guitar to form BMX. The band first made waves the only way it seems these days through the blogosphere with posts on notable sites such as BIGSTEREO, Discobelle and Palms Out Sounds. Their demo’s 'Theme to BMX and 'War' quickly gained success as a result around the Australian music scène receiving high rotation on Triple J and Sydney’s FBI. BMX have played shows with acts Van She, Metronomy, Ladyhawke and Jackson Jackson amongst others, and also were billed on both the 08 Parklife and 09 Good Vibrations festivals.
