Bio: Sean Croft and Danny Murphy began to play music in a dank, despairing piano room after a year of being roommates. A song called “Uh ... (more) Oh” popped out and that’s when everything started to fall apart. They expanded from guitar and piano to a toddler’s drum set played by classmate Rachel Moldauer. Following the obliteration of the toddler set due to Moldauer’s hard-hitting style, they purchased the cheapest full sized drum set on the market. From there on they were viable for shows on Georgetown’s campus and in and around DC. Moldauer dropped out due to her never having played drums before and was replaced by O. W. Bussey III of the Australian frontier. A Born Idler was complete. Hailing from the corners of the earth, the band members (O. W. Bussey III of the Australian frontier, Murphy of New Orleans, Croft of the Arctic Circle) were unknown quantities from unknown lands, and, when they met, an explosion occurred. It was a combination of combustible elements that shouldn’t have ever happened, but did. The members spontaneously fused in some warm, electric, fuzzy haze. And now, they are stuck, for better or worse, and the dual songwriters are forced to provide constant counterpoint. They wrote some songs and recorded a few of them and released a tasty EP entitled You Will Be Destroyed. With their warm, electric, fuzzy tunes of bliss, they have already destroyed DC (boring) and are moving on to pillage other lands and minds. (less)
