- Bio: ARMS began as the songwriting outlet for frontman Todd Goldstein (ex-Harlem Shakes) but has since evolved into a 4-piece band and full-fledged collaborative effort between Goldstein, drummer Tlacael Esparza, bassist Matty Fasano, and keyboardist David Harrington. Their music is beautiful, melancholic, and at times sinister, with bits of C-86 jangle, reverb and production that allows the songs to breathe. The band has been winning praise with the release of its debut, Kids Aflame (Melodic UK/ Gigantic US) and its recent release (and appropriately titled) EP. In recent months, they've shared the stage with the likes of the Walkmen, Japandroids, Passion Pit, Love Language and have won raves for festival appearances at CMJ and SXSW. ARMS is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their second album in New York, due out spring 2011. (less)
