What will 2013 sound like? Grimy, shiny, probably a little trappy, bassy, spacey? Fly Zone, Le1f’s follow-up to 2012’s well-received Dark York, hits all the bases, refining his characteristic drawl and clubby production into certifiable bangers. Decidedly more based in traditional hip-hop than its predecessor, the work is still plenty weird. Features include Spank Rock, Haleek Maul and the newly-dubbed Kitty (formerly Kitty Pryde).
