Houses is the project of one Dexter Tortoriello (aka Dawn Golden And Rosy Cross) and Megan Messina, and "Beginnings" shows a new level of sonic and melodic refinement to their soaring, atmospheric dream-pop. Music rarely makes me want to run away on a train and stare out the window at an endless blur (I'm pretty well adjusted as a human), but this song most definitely does that.
