With "Borrowed Time," Parquet Courts define themselves as another band (like Metz, The Men, etc.) that's bringing the cojones back to underground music. The track is like a post-punk sample platter with propulsive drums, eye-roll vocals, playlist-ready hookage and angular guitars that feel pushed by pure, youthful energy. The New York-via-Texas band released their first proper full-length, Light Up Gold, earlier this year on Dull Tools. Get up!
