In a week where the entire music industry is running around, shaking hands, forgetting names and nursing way too many free beers, Tim Hecker is quietly dominating with assured atmosphere. After his Holy Other remix made us all pensive, Hecker just dropped this unreleased rework of Philip Glass' "Montage" that was meant for the recent Beck-helmed Rework: Philip Glass Remixed compilation. Lovely, noisy, intense, minimalist, using repetition to create emotion… it sure makes sense that Hecker felt enough of a kinship with Glass to give this one a go.
