A twinkling ode to celebrity (and maybe clouds), Bat For Lashes' "Marilyn" isn't hiding behind anything. It could easily be the slowdance centerpiece at a 1985 prom with its bombastic raining synths, show-stopping vocals and dramatic sense of dynamics. Really, if this isn't a fall favorite for your mixtapes, I'm really not sure what is. Her new one, The Haunted Man, is out October 23 on Capitol.
