We were going to start off this premiere of “Pull Up” with a wee bit of boasting (our aggregate best is six, no biggie), but then we saw what’s paramount: New Groove Armada! Awesome new Groove Armada. Tribal, visceral and almost jungle for the first two minutes, this Alex Jones redux twists the thump dial into the danger zone before flooding the whole lot with space bass. Afro-chants, hypercolor machinery and an oddball mix of steampunk rave and tech-house soon join the fold. The result? We’re so amped-up and recharched that we’re going to try for seven pull-ups next.
