At the end of spring, when PEACE made me feel things with "Li'l Echo," I was curious to see what these young emotive Brits would do next. Apparently, they've kept the gruffness intact while moving the ideals towards California and getting stoned forever. "California Daze" has one of those repeating minor arpeggios that poppy, psyched-out rock has done well for almost a half-century (read: Beatles, Floyd, shit, even Queen), but it still feels oh so good to hear it done well. Their Delicious EP is out September 9.
