Jason Stollsteimer, singer and guitarist of The Von Bondies, formed The Hounds Below in 2009 right before the dissolution of his formative group. The new act, based in Detroit, released an EP last year and will release its debut album on October 9 via Slimstyle Records. “Chelsea’s Calling” is a swaggering garage rock number that balances pop hooks with rollicking grit.
